Project Description:
Restore missing and damaged sections of the 4th and 5th floor levels at Treasury Building West Monumental Staircases. Work includes removal of the temporary railing, preparation of mock-up, fabrication and installation of missing ornamental railing brass, wood, and cast iron components and the repair and replication of missing granite cornice. Provide structural analysis and structural engineering design for attachment of missing granite cornice components and the anchoring of new hand and guard rails. Include structural engineer’s stamped drawings for mounting and handrail design. This project shall provide replicated historic railing and granite cornice that will restore the 4th and 5th floor levels of Stairways back to their original appearance. |
